Assessments of Infographics
Assessing the final infographic product should take into account principles of design (color, image, composition, etc), in addition to effective communication of the information, use of accurate data, and evidence of appropriate research of content. However, when a student engages in project based learning, I believe it is as or even more important to assess their process in addition to the final product. Below you will find sample prompts for students to engage in self-reflection on their own creative process and growth over the course of the project. These reflections can take many forms, including written blog posts, informal journaling, audio or video recordings, or 1 on 1 conferences student-teacher conferences.
